05/21/10 So Far

Well, with a late start to my day today, I had a small "breakfast" that went right into lunch. I had a banana about an hour or so ago and am now heating my left over chicken stir fry and white rice. I made the chicken stir fry night before last out of a left over baked split chicken breast. I used a can of stir fry veggies that had water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, mushrooms, baby corn and red bell pepper. I put that in the skillet with some butter and stir fry sauce and then put it over the rice I made with chicken stock and butter instead of water. It was really good, so I am heating the leftovers today for my lunch.

As far as drinks, so far it has been water but I am going to have some sweet tea (sweetened with Stevia In The Raw).

Not much else going on so far today. Mike is at work. He should be home by 5. Wonder what we will have for dinner tonight. If Ben has his way, he will have pizza.

Cravings

I just ate a banana but what I really wanted was a golden delicious apple with peanut butter. YUM-O!!! Sadly, I have no apples at home and would have to go to the store to get some. Hmmmm...maybe I could walk there. It`s just down the hill. But it`s 930pm.


My first entry in my new fitness journal

Ok, here is what I am going to try to do. I am going to log on here every day (that's the idea anyway) and report to you, the reader, what I have eaten and drank during the course of the day. I am also going to tell you what I did throughout the day, such as exercise, errands, etc.

I DO NOT promise to make it grammatically correct. I DO NOT promise to entertain you. This is just my journal for accountability. I DO appreciate any and all comments that you, my reader may leave me and encourage you to leave comments. There is no need to be intentionally rude but honesty is appreciated.

So far today I have eaten 3 strawberry cream cheese strudel bites (breakfast) and approximately 16 ounces of sweet tea (sweetened with Stevia In The Raw), 2-20 ounce bottles of water, approximately 16 ounces of Pepsi, a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with 1 tbsp mayo, mustard, 1 tbsp dill pickle relish and a slice of cheese (lunch), 1 brownie and a bowl of chili over rice (dinner). It is now 8pm.

I went to the gym at 5pm with my bestie Ann. We met with a personal trainer to set up a workout routine. We will be starting out with 10 minutes of cardio, then we will do a weight training circuit (alternating upper body and lower body every other day) 2 sets of 15 and follow that up with 20-30 more minutes of cardio to round out the workout. We are shooting for 5 days a week.

Well, there it is. My first entry. I am going to do my best to keep this up. Wish me luck!
